Characteristics | Leaves alternate, simple, small (1"), ovalish. Black stipules on the back of the leaves.
Lustrous dark green. Short petiole. Green stems turning grey green to grey brown in the second and third years. Extremely slender landscape form. Very dense plant with upright stems. |
Landscape Uses | Good for formal plantings and in limited space areas. One example might be at the sides of garage doors where bed space is often severely restricted. |
